My Eskom

Voyage

My Eskom Voyage is in essence a summarised work career of Ian Morreira who was so very privileged to have worked in all of Eskom’s main operational divisions namely Generation, Transmission, Distribution and Key Customers, probably matched by just a handful of folk.

Initially working in the main Rosherville workshops Ian went onto to commission protections schemes in Transmission and Distribution substations and then went on to commission protection and control systems at Tutuka Power Station. From 1988 until he retired in 2016, Ian went onto deal with small, large and massive users of power- Eskom customers who deserved customer service of the highest order.

Apart from covering hard core technical stories, the book also covers softer issues about people and the dynamics of serving Eskom’s customers who pay Eskom millions and millions of Rand each month.
